In addition to the upscale table-service meal, you'll have the opportunity to meet several Disney Princesses as they make their way around the dining room. If you're traveling with a little princess, or just happen to be a grown-up princess fan like me, it's a pretty magical way to start the day.

Good to Know: Located toward the back of Fantasyland, Gaston's Tavern is usually a little quieter than some of the more centrally located food stops. The menu has some really interesting snack options that work for breakfast or really any time of day.
Unfortunately, I had already stopped eating gluten by the time they started serving the Crème Brûlée Croissant, but every picture I've seen of it makes it look amazing. Someone please get one and tell me how it is!

The stand also serves Joffrey's coffee, including The White Rabbit, which combines Joffrey's coffee with white chocolate sauce and raspberry. It's a fun alternative if you want something a little more interesting than your standard morning coffee.

It's also conveniently located if you're heading toward Tiana's Bayou Adventure and don't want to backtrack toward the front of the park for breakfast.
The Lunching Pad

Quick Guide: Best Breakfast in Magic Kingdom
Best Character Breakfast: Cinderella's Royal Table
If you're looking for the full princess experience, this is the obvious winner. You're dining inside Cinderella Castle while several princesses visit your table. It's expensive, but the setting and character interactions are hard to beat.
Best Budget Breakfast: Sleepy Hollow
You can get a filling waffle for considerably less than you'd spend at a character meal or traditional table-service restaurant. It's also a convenient location if you're already around the Hub or Liberty Square.
Best Quick Breakfast: Friar's Nook
It's quick, inexpensive, and has both sweet and savory options, making it a convenient stop before heading deeper into Fantasyland.
Best Sweet Breakfast: Gaston's Tavern
If pastries and sugary treats are your idea of breakfast, Gaston's Tavern has some particularly fun options. The Grey Stuff cupcake, cinnamon roll, and those beautiful croissants all make a pretty convincing argument for dessert before noon.
Best Coffee: Main Street Bakery
It's hard to beat Starbucks if you already know exactly what you want. Just prepare yourself for the line!
Best Snack-Style Breakfast: Cheshire Café
For something small to eat while you explore, I love the Cheshire Cat Tail and Pepper Jack Pretzel. Add a Joffrey's coffee and you've got yourself a pretty easy morning.
Tips for Eating Breakfast at Magic Kingdom
- Check opening times before you go. Not every restaurant opens with the park, and several quick-service locations don't begin serving breakfast until 9:00 or later.
- Make reservations for character dining. Cinderella's Royal Table and The Crystal Palace can book up quickly, especially during busy travel periods.
- Consider an early breakfast reservation. A reservation before the park gets busy can allow you to eat and then head straight into the park while crowds are still relatively low.
- Don't overlook snack stands. Some of the best quick breakfast options aren't technically labeled as breakfast locations. Cheshire Café and Gaston's Tavern are good examples.
- Mobile Order can save time. For quick-service locations that offer it, placing your order through the My Disney Experience app can save you from standing in line.
- Check allergy information ahead of time. Disney offers allergy-friendly options at many locations, but menus and preparation methods vary.
- Menus and hours can change. Always double-check the My Disney Experience app or Disney's current menu before your visit, especially if breakfast is an important part of your plans.
