Sourdough Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Made with crisp, golden sourdough bread and gooey, melty cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 large slices sourdough bread
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheese shredded from the block or 4-6 slices
- (Optional Additions) pickle relish, tomato slices, cripsy bacon slices
Instructions
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
- Spread mayonnaise onto the outside of each bread slice.
- Place one slice of bread mayo-side down in the frying pan.
- Top with shredded cheese (and any toppings if using), then add the second slice of bread, mayo-side up.
- Cook 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese has melted.
- Slice in half and serve immediately.
