#5 in my '100 30 Minute Meals' series, are these super comforting Chicken and Gravy with Biscuits. Made with buttery biscuits and crispy chicken strips smothered in a quick and easy southern style sausage gravy.

Why You'll Love this Chicken & Gravy with Biscuits:
- Ready in 30 minutes. Using refrigerated biscuits and pre-made chicken strips saves time and makes this recipe quick & easy.
- Nostalgic Comfort Food. This recipe is one that my grandparents would make for weekend breakfast, making the gravy just as they're parents did.
- Budget-Friendly. This recipe can feed a crowd using just a few inexpensive ingredients.

Key Ingredients:
- Refrigerated Biscuits: Flaky, buttery, and easy to make. Use your favorite variety.
- Pre-Made Chicken Strips: To save time, use frozen chicken strips or pick some up from the deli counter or your favorite fast food restaurant.
- Sausage Gravy: Made with ground breakfast sausage (mild or hot), flour, milk, salt & pepper, and just a pinch of ground nutmeg.

Dietary Swaps:
- Gluten-Free: Use gluten free biscuits (such as Red Lobster's gluten-free biscuit mix), gluten free chicken strips (I really like the GF Perdue chicken strips made with rice flour), and gluten free flour in the gravy (such as Bob's Red Mills 1:1 Baking Flour).
- Vegetarian: Swap the chicken strips and ground sausage for plant-based versions. When making the gravy, add an extra pad of butter.
- Make it Lighter/Less Fat: Swap sausage for ground turkey sausage, use grilled chicken instead of chicken strips, and swap half of the milk for chicken broth.

Recipe Variations:
- Make it Spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne powder to the gravy or a few dashes of hot sauce on top.
- Add Some Herbs: I love this recipe with a bit of fresh thyme. It is also great with fresh rosemary or sage.
- Put an Egg on it: Add a fried egg with a runny yolk on top.
- Make it Cheesy: Top this dish with grated cheddar cheese, or add some slices of cheese to the biscuits before adding the chicken and gravy.

Tips & Notes:
- If gravy becomes too thick, add a bit more milk.
- If gravy is too thin, cook an extra few minutes or whisk in a bit more flour.
- For extra crispy chicken strips, cook them in the air-fryer while the biscuits bake in the oven.

Storage & Reheating:
- Store leftover gravy in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Store in leftover chicken and biscuits separately.
- Reheat:
- Gravy: On the stove top over medium low heat. Add a splash of milk or broth to loosen if needed.
- Chicken & Biscuits: Reheat in the oven or air-fryer until warm and crisp.
