From the moment I first saw Pizza Moon, I knew I had to try it. With its fantastical, vintage-style Art Nouveau, Mucha-esque décor and a marquee inspired by the 1902 French film A Trip to the Moon, this quick-service restaurant immediately landed high on my must-eat list.
Since we've made several trips to Epic Universe, we've made it a point to stop by Pizza Moon on every visit.
In this review, I'll share our full thoughts along with everything you need to know before planning your own visit.

Atmosphere & Location:
According to the Universal app, "The famous Théâtre de L'Imagination has been transformed into Pizza Moon, where you'll find a galaxy of out-of-this-world pizzas." Yes, please.

Pizza Moon is located on the left side of Celestial Park, nestled between the portals to Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe. It's open for lunch and dinner and, like most quick-service locations in Epic Universe, does not take reservations.
Upon entering, you'll be directed to a short line near the bar in the far left corner of the building. Even though this spot is very popular, we've never waited more than about 10 minutes for a table.

The tables and chairs themselves are fairly simple-mostly metal tables and chairs throughout the dining room.
What really stands out, though, is the decor. Bright royal blue walls, star-like lights, and Art Nouveau-style cutouts hang from the ceiling and walls. The dining room is quite large and open, with dim overhead lighting and large windows that bring in plenty of natural light.

It definitely feels more like a themed cafeteria than a fancy restaurant, but it's still cozy-especially if you love that kind of whimsical, vintage-inspired theming.
The Menu:

Instead of paper menus, you'll find a QR code at each table that opens mobile ordering through the Universal app (something we noticed at most quick-service restaurants in the park). Thankfully, the process is very straightforward.
The menu features a mix of creative pizzas (including one with an ube crust!), along with a few pastas and salads. I personally made a beeline for the Giant Mushroom Pizza, and I have zero regrets.
Prices are also on the more affordable side-especially for a theme park. Most pizzas generally range from $19-$22.
Bonus: we were told there is now a gluten-free crust and allergy-friendly menu available, which I'll definitely be coming back to try.

What We've Ordered:
On every visit, we've ordered the Giant Mushroom Pizza: roasted garlic béchamel, Fromage de Lune, wild mushrooms, truffle aioli, and parsley ($19.16 with tax as of our last visit).

At 12 inches, it's big enough to comfortably feed two people. The crust is bubbly and tender, reminding me a bit of Mellow Mushroom's dough in the best possible way.
The topping combination is perfection: garlicky white sauce, melty cheese, earthy mushrooms, and an herby truffle finish. I especially loved the bites with extra truffle aioli-super rich and super delicious.

On our last visit with friends, we also tried the Moon Cheese Caesar: chopped romaine, Moon Cheese™, Caesar dressing, grated parmesan, and croutons.

The salad was a decent size-enough to share between two to four people if you're also ordering pizza. Overall, it was a pretty standard Caesar, but it had the fun addition of "moon cheese," which are baked parmesan crisps that add a nice crunch.
We also ordered the Harvest Moon pizza: tomato sauce, grilled artichokes, Divina® tomatoes, roasted peppers, Castelvetrano olives, and arugula.

This one was just okay and not a favorite. The flavor leaned heavily toward tomato, though it still had that same wonderful bubbly crust that makes the pizzas here so good.
Know Before You Go:
- Quick service: No reservations required.
- Family-friendly: A great option for families or groups looking for a casual meal.
- Popularity: This restaurant is very popular, but the line usually moves quickly.
- Portion sizes: Portions are generous, and most pizzas are large enough to share between at least two people.
- Pricing: Prices are fairly affordable for a theme park, with most pizzas costing around $20.
All in all, Mr. Garlic and I both really loved Pizza Moon. The pizza is seriously good (and not just by theme park standards), the price is fair, and the atmosphere is whimsical and fun.
If you're looking for a casual place to sit down, cool off, and share a really solid pizza while exploring the park, this is definitely one worth adding to your list.
Have you tried Pizza Moon yet? What did you order?
