Brussels Sprouts

Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts Ingredients:

  • Brussels Sprouts- small leafy green vegetables related to cabbages. Their flavor is earthy and slightly sweet and they can be cooked in so many different ways. For this recipe they will be first pan-fried to get a nice char, then roasted until tender.
  • Bacon- bacon adds a wonderful salty, savory element to this side dish.
  • Butter- either salted or unsalted can be used.
  • Minced Garlic- always.
  • Mozzarella Cheese- mozzarella cheese melts easily and has a mild creamy flavor.

Substitutions & Variations:

  • Try adding more veggies! Butternut squash is a great option for adding a bit of sweetness to your dish.
  • Not a brussels sprouts fan? This recipe also works well with broccoli!
  • Try a different cheese! Gouda adds a wonderful smokey flavor, or try cheddar cheese for a bit of sharpness.
