Green Olive Tapenade

Made with green olives, capers, parsley, garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice, it can be eaten with crackers, or as a topped for hummus, salads, meats, and so much more.

Ingredients
  

  • 9 oz jar green olives drained
  • 2 tablespoon capers
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1-2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Splash lemon juice
  • Fresh cracked black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Add olives, capers, parsley, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil to a food processor.
  • Pulse until the mixture reaches your desired consistency, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • Taste and adjust with more oil, lemon, or pepper if desired.
  • Serve immediately or store in the fridge for later.

Notes

  • Use good-quality olives and olive oil for the best flavor.
  • Start with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and add more as needed.
  • Pulse tapenade until your desired texture is reached. Tapenade can be eaten a little rustic and textured or smooth.
  • Olives & capers are pretty salty as is, so give tapenade a taste before adding any extra seasoning.
