Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops pound to 1-inch thickness if needed
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • Splash of milk or cream
  • ½ cup Italian panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • If pork chops are thick, use a mallet to pound pork chops so they are flattened slightly and no more than 1 inch thick.
  • Set up breading station:
Bowl 1: Flour + garlic powder + onion powder + salt + pepper. Whisk to combine.
Bowl 2: Eggs + milk/cream. Whisk until fully combined.
Bowl 3: Panko + Parmesan. Stir to combine.
  • Dredge pork chops in flour (shake off excess), dip in egg wash, then press into breadcrumb mixture.
  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Spray basket with cooking spray.
  • Air fry chops for 4 minutes, flip, spray again with cooking spray, and cook 4 more minutes until internal temp reaches 145°F.
  • Let pork chops rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use Italian-Style Panko Breadcrumbs. I have made this recipe with several types of breadcrumbs, and panko by far hold up the best and have the crispiest texture.
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Work in batches if needed.
  • After adding pork chops to air fryer basket, give them a good spray with a neutral cooking oil. This helps them crisp up and give that 'fried' texture.
