Ronto Roasters is located right in the heart of Galaxy’s Edge, nestled within the bustling Market area, just steps away from the iconic Millennium Falcon. As part of the immersive Star Wars universe, this open-air quick-service restaurant transports guests into the heart of Batuu with its unique, otherworldly vibe.

The atmosphere is industrial and gritty, reflecting the feel of a spaceport marketplace. The central feature is a massive podracing engine that appears to be roasting the ronto meat on a spit — a fun nod for Star Wars fans!

Seating is limited, with a handful of wooden tables scattered around the area, making it the perfect spot for a quick bite while soaking in the vibrant energy of Galaxy’s Edge.

Ronto Roasters serves up breakfast-style Ronto wraps from 9 AM to 11 AM, offering a savory start to your day. The lunch menu, which runs from 11 AM to 3 PM, features their signature Ronto wraps and other galactic-inspired bites and drinks.

Gluten-Free Menu Options:

Ronto Roasters is known for its signature wraps, typically filled with a savory combination of roasted pork, grilled sausage, and tangy slaw, all wrapped in a warm pita. For those with dietary restrictions, there are allergy-friendly menus that cater to a variety of needs, including gluten, egg, fish/shellfish, milk, peanut, sesame, and soy. You can easily access these menus by asking at the walk-up counter, viewing them online, or through the My Disney Experience app. Click here to see the full menu.

For many diners, one of the available options includes the fan-favorite Ronto-less Garden Zuchii Wrap. However, during my visit, the Zuchii Wrap, which is typically listed as gluten-free on the app, was unavailable in its gluten-free form. If you’re eager to try this item, be sure to double-check with the cashier to confirm availability before ordering.

Below is a screenshot of the gluten-free menu as it appears in the app, so you can see what’s currently listed (as of 9/23/24).

Our Experience:

We arrived at Ronto Roasters on a smoldering Sunday afternoon. Despite the weekend crowd, the park wasn’t overly packed. All the tables were full when we got there, but luckily, we only had to wait a few minutes before snagging one. The line at Ronto Roasters itself was reasonably short, so I took the opportunity to walk up to the counter and ask a few questions about the menu.

After getting the information I needed, I opted to place a mobile order for the allergy-friendly items directly from the My Disney Experience app. For those with dietary restrictions, the app conveniently offers a separate tab where all gluten-free and allergy-friendly options are listed.

Here’s what I ordered:

  • Ronto Wrap – Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly: Roasted Pork, Grilled Pork Sausage, Peppercorn Sauce, and Tangy Slaw wrapped in Allergy-Friendly Pita Bread ($13.29 as of 9/22/24).
  • Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce – Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly: A vibrant mix of Jicama, Cucumber, Pineapple, Melon, and Dragon Fruit, all tossed in a Tamarind Sauce and dusted with Peppercorn Ash (Plant-Based) ($6.99 as of 9/22/24).
  • Coruscant Cooler: Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth, Cranberry, and Lime Juice ($17 as of 9/22/24).

One of the great perks of mobile ordering is the ability to choose the time you want your food to be ready. Once I placed the order, I received a notification within minutes that it was ready for pickup. You can easily collect mobile orders from the left side of the cashier counter, where they also offer free cups of water (a must-have on hot Florida days), utensils, and napkins.

Because I had ordered a gluten-free, allergy-friendly Ronto Wrap, it came in a paper box with a clearly marked allergy sticker indicating it was gluten-free. The Andoan Fruit, even though naturally gluten-free, also came with an allergy marker for extra reassurance.

Opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the wrap looked. The grilled sausage had a tasty char, the roasted pork was piled on generously, and the slaw was bright and fresh. The gluten-free pita, which I rarely get to enjoy, was soft and a treat in itself. The aroma of the grilled sausage made me want to dive right in, and I was impressed by the portion size—especially for the price. My partner and I shared one for lunch, and with the addition of the fruit, we both felt satisfied by the end of the meal.

As for the taste, it was mostly fantastic. The sausage was the star of the show: it had perfectly charred edges, delivering just the right amount of spice without being overly hot. While the sausage was thin, it spanned the length of the pita, ensuring that each bite had a bit of meat. The slaw added a nice crunch and balanced the savory flavors. The gluten-free pita was surprisingly good—soft with a slight chew and a flavor that reminded me a bit of cauliflower.

However, I did have a couple of minor complaints. The roast pork was unfortunately quite dry, and there wasn’t enough of the peppercorn sauce to balance it out. Next time, I’ll definitely request extra sauce on the side. Despite this, I would absolutely order the Ronto Wrap again.

Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce – Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly

Initially, I was a bit hesitant to order the Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce, but I’m glad I did, especially since it was close to 97 degrees and humid that day. This dish was a refreshing treat. The Muja Sauce had a subtle sweet and sour flavor that complemented the fruit and cucumbers beautifully. I can’t think of anything quite like it—it’s unique and worth trying. The jicama, though, didn’t add much for me, and I could have done without it. Still, I’d definitely order this again on a hot day for something light and cooling.

Coruscant Cooler

As for the Coruscant Cooler, I really enjoyed it. The drink was tart and cranberry-forward, with a subtle sweetness lingering in the background. I couldn’t really taste the alcohol, but it worked well as a refreshing, balanced drink. I’d order this again, though if you’re looking for something fruity or particularly sweet, this may not be for you.

Tips for Enjoying Ronto Roasters:

Hours of Operation: Ronto Roasters is open daily until 3 PM. If you arrive after that time, you can still find Ronto Wraps at the nearby Docking Bay 7.

Communicate Allergies: If you’re ordering at the walk-up line, make sure to inform the cast member about any allergies in your party. They are knowledgeable and willing to accommodate your needs.

Mobile Ordering: Save time by placing your order through the My Disney Experience app. You can select a time for your order to be ready, which can be done from anywhere—including your hotel room if you’re planning your park day in advance.

Arrive Early: Show up a few minutes early to snag a table. Ronto Roasters has only 6-7 wooden picnic tables available, so finding a spot can be competitive.

Additional Seating: If the Ronto Roasters tables are full, look for extra outdoor tables located outside of Docking Bay 7. To find them, exit to the right side of the cashier counter at Ronto Roasters and turn left.

Explore After Your Meal: After enjoying your meal, consider checking out the nearby gift market or taking a ride on the Millennium Falcon for some added fun.

Final Thoughts:

My partner and I both really enjoyed our lunch at Ronto Roasters, and we’re already planning to return for a Morning Ronto Wrap! So far, I’ve found that Disney does an excellent job of creating gluten-free versions of traditional wheat items, and this pita aligns with the quality I’ve come to rely on and enjoy.

I also believe that Disney (and Universal) are among the safest places to eat for those with allergies in Orlando, as they take great care in accommodating dietary needs. Plus, the price was hard to beat—just under $40 for a satisfying meal for two adults, including an alcoholic beverage!

If you’re heading to Galaxy’s Edge, I highly recommend making a stop at Ronto Roasters. For more tips on dining gluten-free at Disney, check out my related posts below, and don’t forget to share your experiences in the comments!
