2 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs 2 tablespoon olive oil 2 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon minced garlic ½ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon onion powder Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand Fresh parsley chopped optional, for garnish
Make the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Coat the chicken: Place chicken thighs in a large bowl, pour marinade over, and toss to coat evenly.
Arrange in air fryer: Place chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, flattening them out. Cook in batches if needed.
First air fry: Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes.
Add BBQ sauce : Remove basket, brush chicken with BBQ sauce, flip thighs, and brush the other side.
Second air fry: Air fry for another 8–12 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F and chicken is slightly charred.
Rest and serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Add extra BBQ sauce and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temp of 165F.
Avoid overcrowding the basket to get crispy edges. Cook in batches if necessary.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3–4 days and reheated in the air fryer or oven.
