Roasted Garlic & Olive Oil Bread Dip

Roasted Garlic & Olive Oil Bread Dip, tender roasted garlic that spreads like butter swirled in oil with savory herbs and spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 whole heads garlic
  • 1/2 cup good quality EV olive oil+ 2 tbsp
  • Crusty bread
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dill- finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Garnish fresh dill

Instructions
 

  • Roast Garlic- Preheat oven to 400. Peel most of the outer layers of garlic bulbs. Cut off the tops to expose cloves. Drizzle each garlic bulb with a but of olive oil and tightly wrap each in aluminum foil. Place bulbs on a baking sheet and roast 35-40 minutes. Allow bulbs to cool enough to easily touch, then peel gently peel cloves.
  • Mix and Serve: In a small serving bowl, mix extra virgin olive oil with dill, onion powder, dried oregano, marjoram, salt and pepper. Top with roasted garlic and garnish with fresh dill. Add a little more pepper and salt if needed, and serve with crusty bread.
