Dutch Baby

The Dutch Baby, the delicious, versatile crepe/pancake hybrid. With just a hint of cinnamon spice and sweetness it can be served in so many ways: as a savory breakfast, a shareable dessert, or just plain with a bit of butter. The options are endless.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Oven-Safe Cast Iron Skillet
  • Spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp all spice
  • 4 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and all spice. Whisk in eggs and milk. Set Aside
  • Cut butter into pads and place in cast iron skillet. Pop in oven until butter has melted. Keep a close eye on it so it does not burn. Pour batter into melted butter, pop back into the oven, and bake for 15-20 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 300, bake another 5 minutes.
  • Top with chosen toppings and serve immediately.
