– 5 mejool dates pitted – 3/4 cup water – 3 tbsp butter-room temp – 1/4 cup brown sugar – 1 tbsp molasses – 1 egg- room temp – 1/2 tsp vanilla extract – 3/4 cup flour – 1/8 tsp baking powder – 1/8 tsp baking soda – 1/4 tsp salt For Sauce: – 1/2 stick butter – 1/3 cup heavy cream – 1/3 cup brown sugar – 1 1/2 tsp molasses – 1/4 tsp almond extract – Pinch salt For Serving: – Ice cream, Custard, or Heavy Cream
